Many people are asking how they can help, so I’ve created a list. Please let me know if there are any items on this list that you feel called to do. *Updated 7/16/12*
1. Give Love.
Send Michaela love and light as often as you can.
2. Donate.
There is a paypal link to the right side of the page where you can send financial support.
3. Other Support
Mado & Peter could use support in keeping the details of our lives from falling apart as we focus on caring for Michaela. Because it is really important to us that people only help in the way they feel called to, please offer to do a specific task rather than general support. Some helpful tasks include:
Cleaning
Lawn Mowing
Weeding
Thank you,
Mado
Hi Mado,
Thank-you so much for this update. Our family has been holding Michaela in the light constantly, but it is very good to know more. I would like to contribute to the meal train and will be available some for hospital care, I think. I am leaving town on Thursday. Can you tell us more or less the time of the surgery, so I can be sending light to surgeon and Michaela together?
Lorrie
Hi Lorrie–
The surgery is scheduled for noon. We don’t expect it to happen right on time, but somewhere thereabouts. Thank you for the prayers and thoughts! If you want to visit in the hospital, please call me at 828-273-2402 sometime on Tuesday, we may have more of an idea of our needs at that time.
Nous donnerons de l’argent. Dis-nous Mado combien il restera à payer.
we shall give money. Tell us how much Michaela will need after the help you will receive in United states.
Big kissess and love,
Annie
Thank you for including me on this list. I did not know that Michaela was ill–I have been away for most of the summer. I am holding her so much in my thoughts and prayers, sending love her way. I will be back in touch later in the week to see what is most needed. Sallie
I spoke with M. and she suggested it might be good if I offered
15 minute facial/lymphatic sessions. She said you all could provide
a massage table and stool for me to use and I will bring linens
and all else. It would be good if you could try to have some
people sign up on a sheet with times listed, say 6-8 pm
or whenever you like. (up to two consecutive hours)
Please call so we can solidify this plan.

Thanks so much, Jane
Dear Francoise – Ray has told me of your situation/plight/challenge/struggle, my heart is with you, and I would be honored to offer what help I can. Money I do not have, but perhaps my skill could be of help? Perhaps you remember I am a teacher of the Alexander Technique – a ‘table turn’ could benefit by gently enabling the release of tensions built up by emotional/mental stress, or physical exertion/exhaustion. Ache/pain reduction, easier joints, deeper breath all can result from a table turn. I offer you, your husband or daughter, or any of your caregivers. The drawback to my offer is that I am limited, for a while, with lack of regular transportation. If we could schedule for you and your family I could work it out, and I could bring a casserole when I come. For caregivers, I would ask they come to my studio in Marshall. If you have a skills auction, I could offer a two-hour experiential introduction to the Alexander Technique, and/or a package of six weekly lessons.
Four times this last week I have been visited by a Mama Black Bear in search of food for herself and her four cubs. Last night I saw the cubs for the first time. I am told the Cherokee hold bear sightings to be sacred for Life. I dedicate my sightings-gifts to you, Francoise. With Love – MaryEagle
I would love to help in any way that is needed. I know how to cook, clean, do laundry, hold hands, heal with my hands, chant, play music, listen, take dictation of memoirs, fluff pillows, or practically any nursing duty imaginable. Please let me know how I can help and I will tell you when I can help. Most mornings before 9:30. Many entire days open in the coming weeks. Love to you all.
